It took my roomate and I a few months (mostly becuase we were both very busy) but we finally completed our projector. Here is a list of what we used but without prices (my roomate did the accounting)

CMV-522a 15" LCD Panel
Plywood from Home Depot
Various metal objects (Aluminium flashing, screws etc.)
LumenLab Light kit
LumenLab Standard Lenses
LumenLab Wiring kit
Radio Shack fan
Old ATX PSU
Blackout Cloth from Joann's Fabrics

Alright here are some pics! As usual, my camera is old and the movies look much better in person. Enjoy!

Nice Miazaki collection. Got one from Naussica of the Valley of the Wind?

Thanks to everyone here at LumenLab, I would have not been able to do this project without all of your help! And thanks the Brain and the rest of the mod team that make this place possible. You guys rock!

How are you guys turning the power on to your LCD. I noticed the control buttons for the LCD are on the inside of the case. Are you opening the case each time you want to turn it on?

Yeah that's exactly what we are doing. We didn't feel like extending the FFC.

Thanks! Yeah the brightness issue we were having was the result of our transcoder (Vdigi) being set up wrong. We changed a few of the switch settings and it fixed all of our problems.

How far back was your projector from the screen when you took the picture of Patrick Stewart in the X-men? That picture is freakin huge.

The projector is sitting almost 12 feet back. However, that Xmen pic is taken from the full screen edition, so that's why it looks absoltuly huge. It only looks widescreen becuase I had a dark shirt in the way of the camera.
