My main board from the E15LCD1 has to be placed at the bottom of the Haas box due to the short FFC. The VGA connector is normal to the board and is close to the lcd screen. Hence when the cable is connected, it will block the lcd screen. Is there any way to connect to this board without blocking the screen? I don't mine if I have to do some soldering. Anyway, has anyone got similar problem with this LiquidVideo lcd? I believe the FFC has 50 pins (painfully counted). Is longer 50 pin FFC available and can be used?

If you don't mind soldering, it might be possible to solder a new vga plug to the board. You might be able to get a new plug from an old video card or something...

Or you could cut the cable and solder the wires directly to the board. You could even feed the cable from the bottom of the board if that would work better.

I'm thinking of getting a short VGA and DVI extension cable (i think they make them) then mounting them outside my case for easy removal, I think that'd work

OR you could just find a right angle vga cable, or just make one with some cat 5 and some solder on cable ends.

Yeah, right angle VGA cables are pretty common with LCD's

Thanks for the help. I have an old video card with right angle plug which I can use. But the cable with this plug will cut into the lcd screen. Furthermore the 15 pins that are soldered to the board are slightly spaced out and not matching the lcd board. I wonder if anyone has tried plugging 15 individual wires to the plug (by cutting one end of the cable off), tape them down to the board and have the connector from the other end of the cable mounted to outside of the box for easy removal?
