I bought a sony sdm hs53 today but when i ripped it i found out that im gonna have a big problem w/ one ffc. Ibought this one coz this is include in GOOD panel topic (pls correct me if im wrong)..

When I looked for a 16pin .5mm I couldnt find any cables.

you can also go to digikey.com and look at the catalog, I called them before and they help you on the phone, very helpful people. and even tell them you can e-mail pics of it.....

I looked through digikey's 74meg PDF catalog and I could not find any 16 pin ffc's

A 20 pin etc can be used by simply cutting off the unecessary leads.

thanks for ur help guys!!I'll try to look for 20 pins and c what happens, one more problem is i can detach the other side, while the other side is fix it seems to me i need an extension for this...is there any way to put an extension on this ffc?

I bought the same monitor SDM-HS53 because it was in the good list , havent stripped it yet. Did you take pics as you were stripping it. Would be helpful to me when i start. I would be interested in how you solved this issue. Anything you can provide (i.e part # and model #) for fcc extensions and connections would be helpful.

yeah, I bought the same one. Haven't stripped it yet as I am waiting until later this summer after I move to work on mine. Any extra pics of how it worked out would be great!
