Has anyone used the 400W Philips single-ended tubular bulb? The dimensions are slightly different to the Ushio T15, and the colour temp is 4200K. Is that too low?Click to view attachmentClick to view attachment

4200K is OK

G'Day

looking for some help with this bulb Im looking at. It's a 600w MH which retrofits into a HPS control box
The colour temp is 6400, which from what's been sugested in the forum, seems ideal

Can anyone tell me if the HPS control gear will have a negative impact, or at least one I need to be concerned about? I've read some of the topics on ballasts, but I've either missed this, or it's not there.

Would appreciate any help

Also, this whole forum is awesome.

Cheers

Color temp is good, but the arc looks huge from the picture. You may be better off going for the 400W from the same place but there's no mention of the color temp on the 400W.

Pictures are usless without all the specs on each lamp. Consider emailing them to provide full specs on both lamps and decide from there.

Thanks RymGB

I emailed them for more info and they've told me the 600w lamp is defective anyway. They have stopped selling it.
The alternative you mentioned, I found the specs on the phillips web site. The colour temp is too low.

Thanks for your help mate
