Hello all!

I am a new member and have figured if teachers could use the little vga screen on overhead projectors why cant i? and alas a source for all my questions, yay!

Well because im cheap and poor im trying to find the cheapest lcd on the planet but cannot find ANYTHING for under $225usd... Does anyone have a link to an online store with a decent cheap lcd, around the $100-175 range preferably??

As for parts im an electrician and purchased a 5200k 400watt MH mogel with 120v balast for $85 so thats a huge bonus, sorry i dont think i can get anyone else a deal because my company orders from the warehouse and their sketchey with just me buying stuff.

Because this is my first projector i am just going to use the most basic in-line to learn and then attempt the more complicated so because i will be using a mid-grade lcd should i use the $65 S15 kit on the site? Plus i figure i should pick up a UV filter (12x15) and would i mount that in place of the glass heat pannel or is their another location for it as the guide does not say...

Well thats my questions, all i got to do is order the parts and lcd and ill have her put together in a weekend!

Thanks everyone,

TJ

Hello all,

I bought the s15 lense kit, and the 10x12 uv filter last night as well as managed to find a good deal on a referbished lcd in town for $115!

LCD is a: HP L1510 15"

Anybody ever use this? i made sure it didnt have a uv/ir/or anti glare coating as i hear they can cause problems. Its not the highest contrast but .28dot pitch, 1024x768, 300:1 contrast, and 21ms but hey at only $115 canadian i think its a hellova deal!

I have been poking around the forms and i havent notices were ppl are putting the uv filters, i assume just b4 the lcd so the light is going strait through it then the lcd is the best location but i really do not know.

Thanks,

..TJ
