No bulb yet, but want to keep working on my Haas box.

I cant seem to find the measurement of the Ushio DD
bulb + mogul lenght (when bulb is seated in mogul....

What I need is:

1) with the SD 400 DD bulb seated in mogul, what
is the overall length of the two?

2) with the SD 400 DD bulb seated in the mogul, what
is arc center distance from the flat (bottom) of the
mogul?

Thanks

Here is what I came up with. My bulb was purchased end of December from atlantalightbulbs.com.
1) 12" from bottom of mogul to tip of bulb
2) 8-1/8" from bottom of mogul to arc center

You sure about that SPK ? 8 1/8 " from bottom of mogul to center arc?

8 1/8 " ~ 206 mm. to center arc including seated in mogul.

Another LL'er says his is 193 mm to center arc including mogul.....

They must really vary on the production of these bulbs...... hmm.

Yes, That is what I got.
Here is a sketch from my design. The bulb was based on mfg. specs.
Matches up close to my measurements I took last night.

You guys made me doubt that I had measured correctly. So I measured again to be sure and here's the result. I installed a ruler against my lamp for the following pictures.

So I guess there are different size lamps with the same model (that's the S400DD).

If you are measuring thesocket + lamp isn't it more likely that you have different sockets or the bulb is screwed in a different amout???

Possible, but I did measure the lamp only and it's smaller than what Brainchild has posted in the store (163mm).
