Im in the process of designing my PJ. Going 17" and want to try to get the box as small as possible.
Would image quality/contrast/brightness be appreciably effected in the multiple mirror designs?
Thanks Brian

If you stick with first surface or FS mirrors you should not see much change.
I used 2 FS mirrors on one regular mirror in a rear projection setup I built.

Thanks SPK. Just out of curiosity, have you tested brightness/contrast without any folds? Also which bulb are you using?

Sorry, I have not been able to test without folds yet. One is built into the PJ so I will always have at least one. With the RPTV screen I am getting a really bright image. Even with all the lights on.
I am using the S400DD 400w bulb.

Its difficult to get multiple mirrors setup but given good qauality mirrors there isn't any reason this shoudln't work, just expect 2-5% loss dependant on the quality of the mirror for each bounce (i.e. 3 mirrors you would loose 6%-15%)

The main problem I see in some of the proposed multi-mirror examples (no offense intedended brain) is light coming from the bulb hitting the fresnels outside of the intended path. I understand that most of this does not pass right? But some will. What kind of an effect could this produce?
