I am planning on doing Haas Design projector and looking for a LCD for it. So looking around on ebay I saw this kit and wonder if anyone have use such kits or stripped it before and how it is?

I am planning on using the S15 Lens Kit and the Pulse-Strike Light kit from lumenlab so It would be a basic projector I am building.

Thanks

If you do a search you will find out that I have it and I went to Austin and picked it up and talked to them personally, and picked the one i wanted to make sure of no dead pixels.

Do a search on techbench or samsung..

I did a search and found couple of post but thier old post like 2 year old however they seem to praise the quaity of the LCD in movie or tv mode but I didn't see anything mentioned about using it as a computer screen or playing computer game on it ..

Can anyone give me some info about how it looks with computer games or how it looks with a web browser etc? Photos will be great and also have it change since then ? LCD gotten better now? because from the photo on this forum and the photo on Ebay it look like remote and the baord is slightly different now.

Thanks

I have one in PJ2, works great, easy to strip, havent tried the VGA yet but all the other inputs work fine, it even has a remote! 300:1 contrast 25ms response time. should be fine for gaming. I really like the TV tuner built in. let me know if you need any help with the Haas build.

Thank you for your reply, I am leaning toward getting this 15 inch kit after all since it alreaedy partial stripped down.

Did your have AG on it and if it did and you removed it can you tell me what method did you use to remove it? soak rag or stripper?

Yes I decided I will do the Haas design and will look forward with your help on the forum with this design!

I already ordered the lumenlab S15 len kits but seem like they are out of 120V Pulse-Strike Light Kit right now and I hope they get some more in soon!

Why are these so cheap?>
TESCORP
They are probably so cheap because there is no enclosure with this "kit". you get the panel and the controler boards. all you need to do is remove the back lights, and dremel out the plastic backing. snap it back in and you are ready to go. I had mine ready in 15 minutes. I did not do the AG removal, I am happy with the brightness as is. as I build these I mark and measure everything, this is the secret to a sucessful build. In my opinion many of the problems encountered are from rushing the build. take your time, study the forums, and your results will be fantastic!
