Ok well i am building a PS1 PJ [Plog Link] (5" LCD) and might upgrade later on to a 8" Hami LCD so i want to have my box sized so it can fit both. Im using Opaque Black Acrylic like Joe2000chevy's 7" PJ.

Now if i got this right the distance from the first fresnel to the bulb is the FL of the fresnel right? and i use focalcalc to get the other lengths (LCD to Triplet, Spacing, ect.)

My Focal Lenghts:
Lense-137mm
Fresnel #1 & #2 - 305mm

Take a look at the 2 pics and see if i got it right. i alrdy ordered enough Acrylic for the box so its just cutting it down to size now. I still dont feel like screwing up and having to buy more

Ya i see the 5.5' distance im going to get a triplet 200-250mm FL so it will be around 8'-10'

[EDIT]The 3 in the middle are fresnel LCD fresnel. Any Lexan will ofcourse go inbetween the light and the first fresnel. [EDIT]

Thanks for the help i want to cut once and ask twice Check out my plog too in a week or so depending on how things go and it should almost be done.

Can any1 reply????? I really want to start with this and i dont want to cut anything untill im sure the distances are right. Only reason i ask is 8x18x10 seems alot larger then the other <10" LCD PJs. I have searched and thats how i have come up with what i have now. Please any suggestions or a simple yes will help. Thankyou SOOOO much!

if you run an unsplit version then you can have a shorter distance to the bulb from fresnels about 1/2 and also then it will match closer to the fl of your projection lens which is more of an ideal lens matching.

One other thing wrong with your calc. is the PSOne is 5" diag. not 5" tall.
