That's how I attached it to my LCD frame right when I got it. However, I didn't have duct tape so I had to settle with electrical tape, which eventually started peeling up.
I then made a frame out of cardboard and stapled the polar to that and slid it up to the LCD. This wasn't ideal because the cardboard isn't completely firm, so the polar can still bend.
I used to have my UV filter attached to my tempered glass frame using the duct tape method, but the filter ended up sagging anyway and getting wrinkles in it-- creating a rainbow effect on screen.
I'm really interested in optically adhering my films to the surfaces. The thread sank down, though, and I didn't see anyone who actually attempted it.
If optically adhering to the surface isn't an option, I'm interested in the "quick swap" polar idea. Creating a frame for the polar, then sliding it in place. The problem with this is I haven't come up with a thin, yet rigid material with which to make two frames that sandwich the polar.
Thinking cap will remain on, I guess.
P.S. Even though it would likely work, I'm trying to stay away from tape in my PJ. No matter how you look at it, it's basically a "temporary solution." Thanks for making this topic, though.
