This is never ending threat the one about antiglares, so I didnīt follow them in close.
There is something I donīt heard yet though, is there any real measuremts done after antiglare removing?

the lumens increase and contrast increase is the only thing i care about all this stuff, but no one with luxmeters did remove the antiglare?

if someone knows about this information bosted before, please let me know where to find.

I think that the impression has been improved brightness but the one or two persons that did test brightness found little or no improvement. It seems like the increased clarity and contrast make it look brighter but there isn't more light hitting the screen. Thats the problem our eyes operate only interms of differences rather than absolute values so increased image quality (contrast, sharpness) is preceived as brighter. I think that this also goes to the comparison that a number of people make when comparing commercial projectors to lumenlab ones, even if the screen is 200 lumens instead of 1200 the contrast and sharpness of the addition resolution yield a more pleasing image even though it is significantly dimmer. When the image gets washed out during daytime the brightness matters but at night without other light hitting the screen the image can be as good as or even better than with a commercial.

Here's a riddle for you Rox.

When did you ask the exact same question?

Here it is, along with the answer.

thanks for the link paladin, but after rereading, I remenbered what was what i didnīt like about that measurments; the luxmeter was not a luxmeter, was a light poewr metter measuring watts.

It is true that a watts increase is necesarilly meaning a lumens increase (lux increase) but extrapolating the % is not welcome for me. The lumens to wattage conversion is very hard thing to do... look for photopic curve for instance...

Anyway, this is the only kind of real measurement I heard about.

Rox what about Guy Grotke's results 70 impoved to 130 Lux.

DJ
Rox
there was something more than antiglare remove with him if i am not wrong...

mmm, anyway, 85% improvement sounds realistic for you?
Mikau
Though it would be nice to quantify, it makes a significant improvement regardless of exactly how much.

Btw Rox, where is your projector? You've helped out a lot around the forums, you've helped brain with the pro lens and reflector, but i've never heard you even mention anything about your own build. Don't you have one or at least plan to make one?

DJ

Guy Grotke's results were a combination of AG removal and a retuning of the lamp and fresnel distances. It appears that after the AG was removed, the arc image was more defined and easier to place at the projection lens center. AG removal alone resulted in a 1 lux increase from 70 to 71. AG removal and lamp/fresnel tuning resulted in a 60 lux increase from 70 to 130. Post 45 of this thread is where Guy's findings can be found, and how he obtained them, if anyone wishes to investigate this further.

I mikau, yea i am all the time buying new stuff and testing things that mostly do not give me very good results, My initial design is based on a hami but am thnking about the pro lenses now that they are available.

nothing of the other world, the test beds until now werenīt what I had wish. I am stucked with a shadow/projection on the eliptical and a G12 right now.

Yea, who doesnīt agree with mikau? too much bla bla bla, and few things done biggrin.gif.

this will soon change, trust me.

laugh.gif... There's nothing wrong with bla bla bla, as long as it's useful and informative. I think the more bla bla bla you understand the better you can make your projector - and I'm sure yours will be great.

Anyway, good luck with it, and please keep up the bla bla bla... I for one, really enjoy reading it biggrin.gif

[EDIT]: No ridicule intended... your posts are entertaining and educational smile.gif

Rox doesn't go bla bla blah, more like this:

Quotes from rox:

"nothing of the other world, the test beds until now werenīt what I had wish."

"I haved laughed at mikau's humor comments"

"This is never ending threat the one about antiglares, so I didnīt follow them in close. "

"Maybe my really bad english was again the guilty."

lol, laugh.gif just teasing Rox, I only speak one language so you deserve more respect then me. Your english gets better every day, and your engineering skill is invaluable to the forum.

I think the whole forum will agree when I say:
