Sony has annouced thier newest commercail movie theater projection system the SRX-R110. The projector has a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels and 10,000 ANSI lumens with a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. This is the type of projector that theaters will use in the future cuurently they use HD (1280x1024), which is expected to get replaced by 2K (2048x1080) and finally 4K like this one with (4096x2160) which is equivalent to more than 4times 1080p.

If you have to ask, you can't affort it.
I think that reight now its a prototype rather than shiiping product but I'd assume >$50,000 maybe even > $100K.

there is a thought anyone every dangle an LCD in fron't of said lighthouse as the fog is rolling in?
