I am getting ready to build a 17" Folded Projector w/ Unsplit Fresnel Lenses and want those of you with experience in building to look over my design... especially the measurements... I will be using the pro lens that is coming... The drawing below is to scale, but there is one thing I am concerned with... I thought that the light from the FIELD FRESNEL was supposed to "fill" the triplet... I am doing a 90" (2286mm) screen. According to Dazzzla's Calculator, this puts the triplet almost 100mm farther than it's focal length and only half of the triplet is filled with the light cone... The smaller screen you go; the further the triplet goes from the LCD... Does this even matter at all... I am sure I am missing something or concerned for nothing... I would appreciate your thoughts and clarification...

Part of the reason the cone is so small entering the triplet in the first drawing is that it is a side view which shows the short side of the 5:4 screen. Below is a DIAGANOL view of the cone... It still seems like there is a lot of lens left... Once again, I still don't know if that even matters... Is the fact that all the light is entering the triplet make this design work???
