Happy new year!!!!
Finaly i got free time to finish my pj after 3 month of freezing.
pj is finished all parts in place and ..................boom
wow !!!!!
lg 1730s/mh400w osram hqi-t/330fl with long throw lens.

i got few problems i have to solve now but still very happy with the result.
1)i have to change 2 fans which are 220v that r too loudly.
2)i get temp of 35-36c after 1 hour.i have to add more fans or to get a stronger fans.
3)the biggest problem-the final lumens i get is not that high-here i need some help from u guys.
i m not using screen yet-maby screen will improve the brightness.
i use a tempered glass 4mm and then 1mm polycarbonate and then both fl covered with 1mm of poly..
lets say i take out the first 1mm poly and insted of 4mm tempered glass i put 3mm -will it change that much?
i have heared that when i change the direction of lcd i get higher brightness???is this true? and what program can i use to mirror my screen????
5)i put my bulb 21.7cm from lcd-should it be closer????
i m using perfact reflector!!!



the bright colours are very good but the dark colours are too dark.
is this comming from the low lumens or the 1:500 contrast?
the pj is 4.5m from the wall and my screen is about 4m.
the lcd brightness and contrast on max.
one more thing-the test wasnt on a screen yet-do i need a high gain screen for a low lumens pj??

Just now i was testing diferent closes b4 i start working on my screen.
I got brighter results on white cloth with little gain.
and bad result on high gain cloth.
I didnt try yet a black cloth.

i have to try light gray.....and to choose the best one.
I didnt know that there is a posibility to remove the antyglare cover.
will it improve the lumens so much? anyone know how to do that?
any link with info ?
I am using ati card so i must have a program that miror my screen.
