Can lexan be cut. If so, what tool would you use to cut it with?
BoomerBrian
I used my jigsaw at a very slow speed so the lexan wouldn't melt. There are other method but I have not tried them.

I've used a regular class cutter to cut it in the past. but i think it was easier to use a hacksaw that I had sitting around.

I cut my lexan with a dremel. The edge where it was cut was a little melted so you should cut a little higher than you need and sand the rest off. Just be careful not to scratch the lexan.

Thanks Guys

They sell a knife for cutting the Lexan right on or near the display, score the lexan with the knife using a straight edge as a guide, this will take a good few scores, dont try to go thru all at once, when you get half way through, the lexan can be bent and the edge will snap off nice and clean. leave the protective covering on untill you are done. before you remove the covering make sure to mark the side that faces the bulb, once the covers are off there is no way to tell which side is which.

A table saw zips right through it with no problem. Put a piece of scrap wood underneath the lexan piece if you're worried about splintering. Go slowly at the finish of the cut. The cut piece will be straight and square.

I just scratched a tiny x in the very corner of my lexan with the scoring knife so I could tell which side was which

I was going to use the lexan shield. I made a tiny arrow pointing to the side with the UV filtering on each side of the edge itself.
