So Im going to pick up an envision 5200ei for 75 bucks, but the specs are pretty bad, 35ms response, 300:1 contrast and .297 dp...
what will be the results of this? any way to fix those? and lets say i have a frame on pause, will it still be hd quality?

It will be almost high-definition, which requires 1280 x 720 resolution. Your biggest concern will be the response speed - 35ms is slow and it could hurt your video quality whenever you have motion. I don't know how badly though. My LCD is rated at 16ms and I don't see any problems at all. But if it was twice as slow... ?
To my knowledge you can't change any of these spec's. Although removing the AG layer might actually improve the contrast ratio...
