My first post here. smile.gif I've been thinking about a DIY projector for some time and found this site just a few days ago and since then it has taken over me completely. I read and think about it all day, scour ebay for cheap deals and keep cooking up alternative ways to house the thing. And I haven't even started!

Okay, my first question: I'm considering using a smaller monitor than the Fresnel...so will it okay if I get the lenses cut to the size of the LCD? How about if the LCD is really small, say 4"?

Thanks...this is really a wonderful community. I'm SO looking forward to getting started on my little thing.

No problem, just be sure to cut the lenses equally on all sides, so that the center is still the center.

It's not even all that hard to do.
