Hello Friends
I was wondering if someone knew if it is possible to make a haas style enclosure with a 17” monitor? I believe that it is possible, but it would have been easier to make the enclosure if I had some mechanical drawings or measurements by hand.
Thanks mates

yeah, a number of people have done it I think..all I did was add an inch or so to the height and an inch to the width of a 15" haas......

take the drawings for the 15" and add two inches to the overall height. and two inches to the width.

The two inches to the width will to the work with the pro lenses? The focal lenght is longer with the pro lenses.... Are you sure I dont need to add more than two inches to the width?

So do you mean as in 2 inches to the width or length (30 inches original). For the HAAS BOX if i were to use bigger lenses from 3dlens.com and use standard triplet?
Thanks!

the width can probably be 2" more than the standard haasman case...the length(longest dimension in the case) wil need to have more than 2" added to it...use the focal calculator to see what the distance between lcd/frensle and triplet should be for the pro lens

Sorry about the confusion Tha
I'm wondering what size my box would have to be if i use the lenses from 3dlens and the standard LL triplet with a 17 inch moniter?
Thanks

Adding two inches to the height and width will work if you are using the standard triplet. the pro lens has to be around 550mm from the field fresnel which will make the Haas box long and funny looking. I made a standard box for another member with a 220mm extension to allow for the pro lens. theres a pic of it in my thread in the trading post section.
