I haven't seen this posted on here yet, but here's a link to a site that helps explain how to build a foosball Table.

http://stealthboy.dyndns.org/~msherman/foosball_build.html

I used his instructions, with slight changes, and built one (sorry no pics yet). It was pretty fun and easy, just time consuming, as is most DIY projects.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

Sweet.

Tornados are definitely the best foosball tables out there. I use to play foosball semiprofessionally back in the late 80's early 90s when I was a teenager. There is actually a US foosball tour and the World Championships are help every year in Dallas, Tx where people come from all over the world to compete.

Sweet. Now I can have my gameroom, with a DIY foosball table and a DIY arcade console!!

He said it was $300 to build but that didn't include the rods and handles which are another $288. You might look around at used Tornados. They make a home model that doesn't have the coin op equipment in it that you could probably get for around $500.

I ended up spending about $350.00 to build mine. I ended up using Carrom rods and People. I got the guys on eBay for $35 and spent $5/rod from Carrom.

The hardest part I found with doing it was doing the playfield. I used plexiglass for the surface, but it was hard to drill into it without cracking it.

Anyway, it was fun to do!

Any Pictures of yours? I would not mind making one and a few parts on the CNC Machine.

Very nice. Are those rods and bearings working out for you OK?
animostic
Okay, I admit, I can't do that.. unsure.gif

The rods have worked really well, but the bearings have just been "okay". Nothing too fancy, but they work. I would much rather have a Tornado table, but it was a lot of fun building this one.

They're just the cheap plasic ones. I hope to eventually upgrade them to Tornado style ones. But I've got a Projector to do first!! biggrin.gif
