....Durachko is coming....

Dewd!
This is so NOT going to happen...Christmas is coming...Kids need presents and Durachko-san needs Burbon and Winter Fest -(non jello based) hot tubbing!

Plus, the Hydroponic units in the basement need cleaning...( and Drying!)

Spirit of Blue Frog predicts maddened debauchery and drunken silliness. Many fire burn in his Kitchen and the the spirit of the land will giggle...

We make comedic stand here! wink.gif

ok. ok. you can have my third born. tongue.gif laugh.gif

oh, yea. Nice Job !!! biggrin.gif (to you too, HF !!)
samuraijack
Can it be?
Yes....It is....

Samuraijack got up slowly from his computer realizing that the floor was unbearably cold and that his feet were sticking to the carpet which had turned into frosty grass-like cornflakes. There were small crunches beneath his feet as he crossed the room to look at the wall mounted thermostat.
It all made sense now.

The Sox had won the series...
The Canadian dollar was now worth more than the American dollar...
...and the Spice Girls were touring again.

Samuraijack walked slowly back over to his computer and sat down. Durachko being so close to finishing his projector had sealed the world's fate.

Hell had indeed frozen over.

Hmmm . . . dry.gif

I think you've already played this scenario out in my ploD. If I weren't so dang lazy I'd search back and find it. Have we finally managed to deplete your repertoire and forced you to resort to recycling? tongue.gif Or has memory failed me? blink.gif

Anyway, thanks for the kind huh.gif words. laugh.gif laugh.gif

(And it ain't quite frozen . . . yet.)
samuraijack
Im assuming that it may have had long enought to go through the complete thaw cycle...Its been that long...wink.gif
Durachko
We don't have a long enough study time to reach any definite conclusions but I think I'm operating on a seasonal cycle regarding my projector. biggrin.gif
samuraijack
Actually the Study " Seasonal Affective influences in the Near Northeast American Region and Projector Building Progress - McM DC et SG, was proven a good basis for the lack of projector progress during the Holidays.

So when are we going to publish the results of " The Relationship between Lime Jello and lowered inhibitions in Nubile College Women: An Opportunistic Study."?

A lot of work went into that...
Durachko
I'm still not happy with the error bars on Figure 69: Climax Intensity versus Seat Position. Need more research (larger sample population and more replicates)!!!!! cool.gif

Edit: The spare case of filters should arrive before Christmas. tongue.gif

True, that one bears a good revisit, Its too bad they denied us the funding on the retrofitted hanging basket. I guess they didnt really care if we wanted to make it an international study.

BTW, they came back with a few more questions on our study for "Potential Interaction between Breast Implanted women and Non-Virgin Olive Oil". I replied that the viscosity rating for the oil was a control factor and that the variable would continue to be the weighed mass of the silicon with variablity factors assigned to the combined mass within a ten foot container at an air temperature of 82.1 degrees F. They were concerned about possible immersion issues until I explained that the Olive oil would be applied manually both by the subjects and by the monitors. They also had a lot of questions about why we needed so many different "types" of women. I gave them the standard reply about how we needed to have a broad sample range to correct for regional and body type differences etc etc...

Some people have no vision... wink.gif

PS. Just got word from the Approval Board, they suggested that the variablity of pressure and fabric makep of the bathing suits could throw off our measurements, so we should probably remove that variable. Oddly enough they insisted on UV eye protection so they will have to wear sunglasses.

You know, one of these days I would like to do a really Interesting study...

The genesis chips run hot, especially when running at that high a res and pixel clock freq. That’s why Kontron heat sinked them. With active cooling they stay just warm to the touch, and the life of the whole controller is extended. wink.gif
Durachko
What's better?
  1. Too much cooling.
  2. Not enough cooling.

rolleyes.gif OMG! Now we've done it. Even jonjandran has been sucked deep down into the depths which we frequent. laugh.gif

Hmmmm . . . someone's been taking liberties with my subject line. I need only one guess. biggrin.gif

I fired up the projector tonight and it looks great; however, I have some confounding issue with my DIY power supply circuit for the Kontron. Nothing ebay couldn't handle though. I just hope the guy complies with my request to ship my purchase out ASAP. Heck, he's in PA and hopefully he is in the holiday spirit and gets it in the mail tomorrow. smile.gif

I think maybe I've got one little niggling more thing to do which is widen the opening of my fresnel sandwich. I think it's a wee bit narrow and I'm losing some edge light. Remains to be seen and won't happen all that soon. I'm sure I won't notice it watching movies and playing games but you know how it is - once you know it's there it's hard to ignore. sad.gif tongue.gif

With any luck I'll be projecting by Christmas and can post some WUXGA screenies. Weeee-haaawwww!!!

Was at Wally World the other day and dropped $20 on the $5 video bin. What a splurge. The Matrix, The Pelican Brief, First Knight, and A Series Of Unfortunate Events.

Now I wait for my ebay purchase to come through . . .

Okay so the Kontrol unit needs/desires active cooling. What do you think are the chances of a post production heatsink enlargement are? Has anyone removed the sink yet?

QUOTE

Actually, I'd venture to say no active cooling is required. But for our purposes it's so easy to get a little air over it. The factory sinks are quite nice. I'm not even going to consider removing the ones on my chips.

Edit: Geez . . . "anyone"? . . . I think it's just me and HitesFiero thus far!!! biggrin.gif
