Is this possible? I cant find a decent controller under $100

off the top - doubt it
controller boards AREN'T cheap - that's why most go with a commercial, reatail LCD

are the connections identical? if the panel itself(psone controller is programmed to run a Sharp lcd, which is used in both the original sony and the verge ps1 lcds..if that is actually the same panel(possible, know nothing about it) then yes , but if not its doubtful the connectors are the same, even if the internal programming of the board would be able to feed the lcd the right info(doubtful if it could, thats a very specialized controller)
