Ok so I finally got it put together tonight. The problem is, the entire upper left-hand part of the screen is blurry, dark and cut off. I tried using the specs in the guide to position the frensels but found it was far too dark and the only way I could get decent brightness without the LCD panel was to mount the front frensel (the one closest to the triplet) up about an inch higher than the LCD. This cuts off about an inch on the lower poriton of the screen but I don't have any other choice. Did I frame everything wrong? In addition, my brand new Vdigi doesn't seem to be working at all, its giving me a blue screen saying its the wrong format or something when I tried hooking up the Xbox. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures but my camera isnt working at the moment. I need some major help. So:

1. It is not nearly bright enough.
2. It is out of focus.
3. The bottom part of the screen is cut off.
4. Vdigi isn't working.

I'd be thankful for any help.

I just realized this should have been in the Help section. I apologize.

Don't know about the vdigi but the other issues sounds like alignment issues. Is most of the light hitting the triplet? If you can't tell take a piece of paper and place it over the back of the triplet.

The center of the fresnels should be aligned with the center of your lcd and the light should also be centered along the same lines.

Once you get everything aligned make sure the light is hitting the triplet. If not then you will have to realign the triplet also.

Also pictures will help.

good luck,

FOr the Vdigi part of it meake sure your panhel is set to the correct xbox resoultion. Depending on the game it should be 640x480. Also, make sure to check the switches on the vdigi. The correct settings are in the manual somewhere.

It's also possible, however unlikely, that your fresnel might have been made incorrectly - if it was cut down from a larger size. The center of the fresnel ring grooves might not be centered on the fresnel itself. This is easy to check visually. Brain would know exactly how these parts are made and if this might even be possible.

Another thing to check is to make sure you have the correct fresnel in the correct location and they are facing the right directions. If this was wrong, then I think your results would be really bad.

Keep trying - you'll eventually find the right set up for your projector smile.gif

Sounds like the light isn't going through the projection lens.
