Sounds to me that the circuit board is hardwired to the LCD then all around. If it works then go for it. Do you know what the specs are for it. Remember the more pixels, contrast, etc... the better.

My suggestion would be to use a monitor that has been used before. i know that people want to/need to save money but wasting your time with a LCD that you know nothing about is a bit silly, getting a LCD to work is pretty tricky if you know what you are doing. This LCD probably is totally inapprriate for PJ use.

well, first off, how does it get an input? does it have a vga connector? or a composite input? if you can't get a picture on it nothing else matters wink.gif .... how big is it?

edit:oops, looking again at the picture it appears the backlight is already out....so whats the issue?
ReD_DoG
i dont realy have an issue.. im just trying to learn about vga mods and about lcd's them selves... i got this lcd ALMOST prestripped... dont know if it works. i beleave its a 14in lcd.

im tryin to learn about this stuff man before i just jump in and break everything i can. lol

so if yous have any ideas id love to learn..

well, you can only learn from this LCD if it has 'some' application that could be used for our purpose. otherwise, i dont think there is 'that' much you're gonna learn from it.
my $.02 anyway

what exactly do you want to know? unless you have a controller for the lcd and can get it to show a picture its pretty useless.... as for doing a "vga mod" to it, do you have schematics for it? any information on it at all?
