Hey I am mainly going to use my projector for playing games on my computer and ps2 and such so i dont want a 16:9 ratio, i was curiouis anyone know the ratio for full screen? and if u already have a screen setup like that whats ur dimensions? thanks

Video games (PS2, Xbox, gamecube) are mostly designed to run on a regular TV set, which has a ratio of 4:3 (1.33). Video games for the PC are designed to run at certin video resolutions such as 800x600, 1024x768, and 1600x1200 which are 4:3 (1.33), while others can be 1280x1024 (1.25). I would say you're probably wanting a 4:3 screen for your purposes.

A typical 4:3, 100" projection (diagonal) will measure 80" across by 60" high. A 4:3, 90" projection (diagonal) will measure 72"x54"... keep in mind for a 4:3 screen, the diagnoal : width : height ratios will always be 5:4:3.

he has a 17" projecter, 4:3 is not what he is looking for as 1280x1024 isnt 4:3 (as you said)

Most modern graphics cards can output 16:9 and/or 16:10 resolutions, and most PS2/xbox/gamecube games have a widescreen setting. It depends on you monitor though (If it's 4:3 or 16:9/16:10).

Yes, 1280x1024 is 5:4 because 1280/1024=1.25. 5/4=1.25, obviously.

1280x960 is 4:3. Not sure why more LCDs aren't 1280x960. In fact, I don't think I have seen one.
