I waited in line at my local walmart for over 13 hours and was #8 out of 48 (34 premium packs and 14 cores). I picked up Project Gotham Racing and Perfect Dark Zero. This thing freakin' rocks.!! I think tonight I'll hook it up to my LL projo and see how it looks. Did anyone else here get one?
mikelish
BURN!

Im jealous!
Smalls
Cold If I were you I would've sold it. They're goin for over a thousand dollars on ebay right now! I would've taken the extra money and put it towards the PS3. Just my opinion.
pitman2
I'm not sure that anyone who got one will answer you right now. They're probably "busy" laugh.gif !
tiggersbowl1
I am going to sell mine, too big of a profit to hold back.

The money will go nicely towards another projector project.smile.gif

I had thought about that, But the truth is I'm just too happy with it right now. The interface is very slick, the system looks great and PGR3 is awesome!! biggrin.gif
tiggersbowl1
I decided to keep mine too...wink.gif

Looks unbelievable on my projector.
Dweezilkid
Um... that's two confirmed owners. It's been twenty hours. Pics? smile.gif
pagercam
There have been rumors of systems being unstable and games crashing constantly. Micro$oft isn't perfect but I can't imagine wilth all the money they've sunk into this that they would let that happen. Has anyone had problem with systems' crashing?
BoomerBrian
So will the xbox 360 be able to take the place of an HTPC? I have not researched the 360 but have heard it being marketed as a media center so I was wondering what it's capabilities were?
Cold Fire
I'll see if i can answer some of these.
Tiggersbowl1: I haven't been able to try it on my projector yet, I am waiting on screen material. What's your gamertag? I'll add it to my friends list.
Mine is Korn Monster.
Dweezilkid, I don't have a digital camera right now otherwise I would shoot some pics.
Pagercam, I haven't had mine lock up once since I got it. I think some people are puting it in areas with poor ventillation and they are overheating. Mine does put out a lot of heat in the back.
BoomerBrian, the 360 can connect to an xp based computer with sp2 and the free windows media connect program to stream music and pictures from that computer or if you connect it to a htpc running windows media center 2005 and use the media center extender (I don't know anything about it though). In this case it will stream recorded and live tv through it. I dont have a htpc but have option 1 and it works flawlessly. It's really great to use your own music in the games without having to rip the cd to the 360 hd. Any more questions?

I've heard that some of the instabilities are from the power supply over heating, and people are having luck keeping it cool by suspending it off of the ground.
Cold Fire
I've had virtually no heat comming from the power supply and I keep it about a foot from the system in the same space on my entertainment center. I also keep the system standing vertical. Some of those lockups might just be from heat sinks and other hardware being incorrectly mounted also. I've been playing games and dvds on mine for a few days now and haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood).
Litherish
Yeah I agree with whoever said to sell it, I saw one go for 10k on eBay! Don't believe me? Don't have to! look here blink.gif eBay Magic smile.gif
Cold Fire
Its a shill bid. The buyer has no feedback so I believe it has to be a fake. I would never sell anything of the value of a 360 to anybody with no feedback rating. I have seen lots of these types of bids on ebay.
Litherish
Maybe blink.gif All the high bidders going over 1100 did have (0) feedback score. It could be that they never heard of eBay and just wanted an Xbox 360 real bad and made an account quick. Oh yeah, they were rich also.... laugh.gif
Cold Fire
Heres a good one for you guys. Remember, it pays to be observant. See if you can tell me whats wrong with this. tongue.gif laugh.gif

it amazes me that people would drop $600 without reading every single word... i can say that this person will be extremely PO'd when they receive their "xbox"... hopefully it will at least come fully framed.
Dweezilkid
That's sadly hilarious. I wonder if it's legal (I mean, the guy is being honest, if a little sneaky)?
ReD_DoG
That has to be the funnest thing i have ever seen... did his ebay shut off caus of that or did he leave ebay because of that?

omg 600 bucks just like that.
jeh
as much as i love video games, i just can't see paying the new release prices for them. especially when there aren't very many games yet. if it weren't for the splinter cell series, i would never turn my ps2 on.
Litherish
Id never turn my PS2 on period.
SIMUL8R
Got into work tonight that started with a bidding for an unknown package underneath a coat by someone. I called 5 bucks, another at 10 and ended by another at $20.00. Guess what it was when the coat was taken off.......you guessed it.

I stood up and cursed my way out the door...heheheh.

Litherish
