You can see I still havent soldered on the proper VGA connector. (needs to do that). Im also curious do people do the same thing and make there own connectors? or do they have some other method?

Front of the projector, The two wooden parts on top and bottom where a fix of design flaws XD they will be painted after in a final coat.

Also the reason for the top cover being open presides so the cable can reach out, is because I have no cooling slot atm on the bottom because I didnt want to cut it untill i was 100% sure on my placement.

At the moment im waiting for my new dvd player to arrive, my current one was very old and didnt support progressive scan etc, images on the large screen where very blurry and had bad contrast. Also note the images above where from free to air so i couldnt pause them to take sharp images smile.gif
The photos are taken on auto with a olympus C-770.

Eventualy the projector is going to be mounted on the ceiling with a sled etc, for zooming in and out, as you can see the free to air aspect ratio dosent fit on my screen, but dvd's work awsome. Also the box is pretty big so it would be nice to not have it in the middle of the screen>.>

Theres heaps of stuff I havent covered it just isnt comming to mind.

For comparison here are some photos of live tv at night.

Looks like the dreaded green push rears it's head again. Good image size, though, and the brightness seems adequate. Is the lamp fully warmed up in this pic?

In the DIYPRO and NEMO photos, there is some serious screen door showing, is it that bad in real?

My monitor I have green set to 45, red and blue at 55. The lamp seems to also have a bit of a green tinge. Like i was talking to you in IRC supra, I have been having troubles with my lamp, and was playing with the setup biggrin.gif

To be honest I did not realise it, but when I looked at the photo I saw that, possibly because the image is scaled down alot? they show easier. I'll have to test it again and see if I can fix it, the photos are taken close to the image, the camera was sitting ontop of the projector.

The image is ~190cm across and the hight varies with aspect ratios.

Also the images are taken without ffdshow. If i have some free time i'll try that out. But for now im waiting for some stuff to arrive so I can continue seting up the room properly smile.gif
