I have took off the electronics board and the front metal LCD frame. The LCD is resting inside the plastic housing. Shall i just turn it upside down, and let it gently fall out? Click to view attachment

Sounds good to me. Put a clean towel under it to prevent scratches.

Thanks. Just to note. I have not opened the back to see if there is anything obstructing it from tilting?

I recently went through stripping my very first LCD and it was nerve racking but successful! Just take you time and be very patient. This is the most important and sensitive part of our projectors. Without it we've just got a box, light and a few lenses. It like a heart transplant. Like supra suggested, place a towel under the face to prevent it from sratching. I didn't quite do this and got a few very fine scratches on the face of mine, should not hurt it one bit. I was surprised how easy it sratched it though.

When you turn the unit on for the first time and have the ability to look right through it, the rewarding feeling you get will be well worth it. Just treat that LCD glass like it's peanut brittle!

Say where in the UK are you from Dilek? Right now as I type this I'm listening to Virgin Radio 1215AM out of London. I used to grow up on a U.S. airbase near Alconberry and have fond memories of the various towns we used to visit (Needingworth, St. Ives, Huntington) but this was back in the 1980-1984 and I was only 4 - 8 years of age. Oh well, time for the Christmas crackers again, eh? O.K. O.K. I know that this off topic so I wont turn this into an unannounced chin wag.

Cheerio & cheers mate!
