not on me right now the project is at my father in laws , i must be using the right fan cause i haven't put my vent hole in the top yet but i am staying at about 80-85 degrees. the fan was from radio shack 120v $22.99.

thank you, since you are the brain of this operation i have 2 questions:
1. i have a dual fresnel i got for free from work can i split and if so how do i do it carefully?
2. i planned on buying the 14" mag and i heard not all models are ffc compatible, is that true?

that is a plexi box we made around the transformer, should we paint that or leave it?
i won't be able answer comments until next week leaving for camping trip tomorrow morning but i will respond back as soon as possible.

more than likely the portion of the plexi near the bulb will melt. you should use some aluminium flashing it will disapate the heat. there are several pics on the site you can look at.
Kewl box with the laminated wood strips, that would look good with poliutithene on it.

actually i left it on for 3 hours and that part of the plexi wasn't even hot to the touch, like i was saying before my box doesn't get hotter than 85 degrees, i haven't cut a vent for the lid yet i just put it on and let the fan do the work and it still wasn't hot,
but thanx for the comment i plan on just staining it and painting the front half inside black.
now there is kinda a greenish glow coming out of the lens i think it is the wood so i will probably paint the back half white.

i worry about the corner of the plexiglass box casting a shadow onto your first lens, if it does then you will have a dark spot on your projected image.

yes you will see a shadow for sure.
did you get the plans here? if you follow them then you will not have a problem.
also when everything is in there then you are making the area where the bulb is smaller and you will have more heat because it will not have as big of an area.then you will see how hot it will be and also with lid on.
