http://www.toshiba.com/taec/press/to-094.shtml If we could find something with the 7" 1024X600 reso lcd in it then it would make a great small projector wouldnt it?
what reso do you guys think we need to get out of a 7" panel to make a small projector?
It says the resolutions on that site.
This whole sub-forum is about making small projectors!

I (and I believe others) would say to go for the highest resolution possible. Pretend you're back in economics class and weight cost (money) vs. benefit (resolution) and figure out which would be managable for you. For the sake of testing and furthering the DIYer's knowledge, it would definately be beneficial to go with the highest resolution possible in order to be able to compare them to the larger 15" monitors.

A couple of builders already used this res/size panel in their PJs. They bought a Toshiba portable dvd player and incorporated it into a projector. Search the forums for toshiba (I think it is the SD1600 model player)...This is the highest res small (8" or less) panel I've seen used....
