i have a gateway monitor that i got for free cause my neighbors cat pissed on it and it was not working. i fixed it no problem by simply cleaning it. i have seen that the 1530 was listed as working with no ffc issues. and from what ive seen the insides of this one looks very similar. has anyone had a bad or good experience with this particular monitor? i have been around here for quite a while now im getting ready to get my hands dirty and it would really help to have a free good monitor to start with. thx in advance

sure ..... anyway what panel is inside? I have a gateway 1530, it has an lg phillips lm150x05 lcd inside, have stripped it fine, sorry no pictures, the only thing I didn't like was the side circuit board but thats just a minor redesign to my frame.... just stripped the anti-glare off too...see what panel yours is, if its the same I'll see what advice I can give you, also check out jzone plog, he has pictures of his strip, his is same panel as mine but a newer version(I think its a lm150x08)....

i have already stripped the monitor when i cleaned it and yeah it has a side board attached. i figured that i would have to design a tray that was a little different ill post some pics soon of the guts of this thing thx
