Full Version: Balance 17" Strippable?

so ive tried to search, but havent found anything. Anyone know if the 17" Balance/IC Power sold from Walmart would strip easily??

seems to have good specs:

Large 17-inch LCD screen
450:1 contrast ratio
1280 x 1024 resolution
.264mm pixel pitch
16.2m display colors
15ms response time
55-75Hz frequency
40-watt max power consumption

and the local walmart has it clearanced for $129.00

Hmmm, maybe ill make a trip to walmart today....thats a killer price to have 720p capability.


but looking at the site it says 1280x1024 is max resolution....will this work for 720p??

well, assuming you mean the 15" it depends.... can it scale 720p? yes.... will it run it at native resolution? probably not....99% of 15" lcds are 1024x768 ..they can scale 1280x1024 input but its not going to be as good as a 17" that actually has 1280x1024 pixels.... I think 720p is 1280 x 720 pixels so an lcd has to have at least that many to do it natively... would you notice the difference? don't know, you probably would but it would still be way better than standard tv ;-) ....

sorry, in that case then yes that almost certainly means the native resolution is 1280 x 1024 so yes, 720p is good to go .... can't honestly think of a 17" lcd that isn't 1280x1024 native rez..
