Got the LL projector up & running. Works pretty good on DVD's and hi-quality inputs... TV is O.K. Most people ask me why it looks "So crappy" when we watch say a hockey game... I explain to them because it's a tv signal line doubled and then enlarged.. Am I correct? If I were to buy a commercial PJ or HDTV, Plasma TV, and feed a regular TV signal into it, I'm assuming the quality would be no better? I've been telling people you need to go to HDTV to get a better picture.

Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible, it's just not like watching tv on the ol' tube.

I just like to get my facts straight. I'd hate to see a friend say to me.. "Hey I went over to Johnny's and watched the game on his new plasma" and it looked awesome..

Thanks for any info..

what card are you using for watching TV? is it cable tv, digital cable, satellite ? if possible use the program dScaler v4, it is the best at de-interlacing TV signals.

Well standard analog cable is at best 480i And you DVD player software does some scaling when you enlarge it, so it looks better.

Some people have had good results with TV playback using ffdshow to scale the image up.
