No response in two hours doesn't mean much, but there doesn't seem to be very much information about lcd televisions in the forum as yet. Be a pioneer. Buy it and give it a shot. It's only money, right? How many pictures of the queen can a person need?

Good luck!

Hi Molly, I use a 15" Samsung LCD-TV.. and i love it..
I have every imaginable input on there even a tv tuner.. i dont even have to worry about N6 issues or having a dedicated HTPC (home theater PC).. i only bring over my computer when i wanna play some PC gaming.
As far as stripping a lcd-tv, its the same as with a regular monitor mostly.. I acutally found that my samsung lcd-tv uses the same panel as several samsung and even other brand monitors. The only difference was the input and contol boards.
So, you may or may not have FFC issues.. it all depends on what LCD panel is inside your paticular brand off LCD-TV.
I suggest you take the dive and tear it apart.. My LCD didnt have any FFC issues and had a fairly long real cable wire attaching it to the control/input board.
You will only be able to tell if you have a FFC issue after you remove the backlight of the LCD.
**You must also design your projector to house your input board.. its quite large and has to be inside something with holes for access to the inputs.
I overlooked this in my 1st projector design and regret it now.. i currently working on a 2nd projector using the same LCD-TV.
Take a look at my old thread for some pictures of my tear down and my crappy attempt to attach my controls and input board to the outside..
I highly recommend housing your control/input board as touching it directly is bad.
