Hi all, I was curious as to how important it was to use a LCD that has a DVI (digital) interface for a projector. Does it make a noticeable different in the picture quality, or is it just a waste of money. There are a bunch of Dell 1505p on ebay right now and I was looking at one of those for my project. Thanks.

From what I have read, most builders haven't noticed much of a difference, but I can't say much more since my monitor doesn't have DVI.

DVI is less affected by interference as well, so if you're using a long cable run, or routing through other wires or high interference areas, it may be a bonus to use it.
It's also a bit more future-proof, since I *think* you'll have to have DVI or an external converter to use any of the video copy protections coming up in the future.
