Hello everyone,

I was screwing on the lid to my enclosure while the bulb was on, and for some reason i guess the shaking caused the lamp to go off. I gave it ten min berfore I turned it on again and it was fine for about a minute when i heard a little "pop" and th light went out again. It wont strike anymore so i'm guessing it dea. =( I was so close to finishing the PJ too!

anyways..

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a different lamp to use with my LL e-ballast that isn't as expensive. I think i can get the same S400DD ushio nearby for $55 CDN, but i was wondering if someone could help me find a cheaper one that should still work just as well?

Any help would much be appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know where you are, but I posted a place to buy S400DD lamps for $55CDN, the only similiar bulb I've found is a STANDARD PRO bulb which I think is basically the Canadian brand name for Iwasaki lamps. They were priced at $69CDN so... I'm not sure if there will be a cheaper alternative.
