Has anyone tried to build a projector into the case of an xbox? If it turns out that the 6.3 xga display is a keeper i think this might work. the only thing i am woried about is the heat from the 250w hqi bulb. i need to measure and check the optics.



how cool would it beto have two xbox's, one stacked on top of the other. One with a projector. And the other with a smartxx chip, 300gig hdd, and samsung modded dvd-rom. just imagine

I think the 7" LCD could be replaced with anything in the future...

I think one of the main problems would be bulbs projector bulbs $$$$$$ also the lumens are way too low.projector bulbs $$$$$$. Another thing would be no thrill. You would be missing the thrill of the build. Also we dont know the quality of the optics.

And i think with some fancy footwork a projector could be placed in an xbox case. I dont think the cost would be worth it. cost of an empty case off of ebay + the cost of the case extender. i think it would be about 80$ i think acrylic would be better.
