Forgive me if this is posted somewhere else. What are the differences between plexiglass and lexan? I know Lexan is a type of (or name brand) style of plexiglass, but I'm pretty sure it has different properties too. I can get genuine lexan at work and this would save me a few bucks from buying a piece of tempered glass, plus I can cut it myself.
Also, I've heard rumors that either plexiglass or lexan lets of toxic fumes (I think formaldehyde) when cut (the friction causes heat) and when the sheet is heated/burnt. Anyone know if there is truth behind this?
