WHERE did you get that 395mm Fresnel? I want to know, I think I need one for the triplets I just bought! PS, your pictures look great!

P.P.S. Those rods, those were my idea!!! That's what I have been planning on doing! I'm planning on a highly modular, adjustable desing aswell. If mine works the way I want it to, EVERYTHING will be adjustable with teh turn of a wrench.

I thought you used a fresnel with a fl of 395mm. Sorry for the question, but great work. You came up with some neat ideas.

To Jazzcool, I have never seen a 395mm FL frenznel at 3dlens. Do you have to ask them for it, or is this a different place? I just orded two and I would rather have a 395mm than a 550mm They do list a 395mm x 395mm in size but the FL they list is 220mm,330mm or 550mm. Do they realy have more FL than they list? Thanks

JAZZKOOL_2005
Sorry for the confussion what i mean is

395MM is the size of the Fresnel not the FL.

How do you know this Jazzkool, have you compared them?

I assume thats the Philips MH400/U bulb from Home Depot, it has a color temp of 4000K, how do your colors look...I mean in real life.

Edit:
I have a Samsung 730BF (4ms) monitor I'm intending to use, I just hope it has more contrast than the BenQ 567sV2 in my 15" projector, though yours looks magnificent in those pictures.

Can I get that measurement? I have the exact same LCD, I was going to wait for the PRO lens but that image rocks. Keep up the good work.

Hey JazzKool, sorry I know this post is from a little while ago but I was wondering about how the keystone is going to work could you show a picture about how it is going to angle. I have mine built and it looks really good however there always seems to be just a little more you think you can do you know!? I am thinking that the clarity and brightness may be suffering due to inproper alignment/ flexing of fresnels. just curious about your design.
Thanks

I assume you mean the triplet lens. I dont understand how you can do that with a standard LL triplet since the diameter is so small. If you move the lens up the arc is no longer passing through the lens and you get a much darker image. I would think this lens shift would be excellent with the Pro lens which has a 100mm clear diameter.

how are you securing the lcd to the frame underneath the flat cable board that is attached to the lcd?

I ask this because the flat brown flex cables are attached to the bottom of the lcd all along the length of the lcd. you dont want the lcd resting on the flat cables. Do you have a tighter shot of how the lcd is mounted on the frame from the front ?
