I would have thought that just about any software player would support DTS, as the software player doesn't decode this, it simply passes it to the audio card, which, if it has the capability, will decode it and send it to the speakers, or the audio card with pass it through a digital ouput to a receiver (which can then decode it). In many cases the physical DVD player in the computer will send it's signal directly to the audio card through a digital connection. Does this make sense ?
I think it was originally a patent issue with whoever first created DTS. None of the early software players supported it. I have PowerDVD 5.0, which doesn't. I believe Apple's DVD player also doesn't, so it still is an issue with some players.
