I just want to know why you hooked the bbq grill to your projector. Isn't it hot enough already? tongue.gif

You're not going to get good results using the glass fresnel AND the Lumenlab condensing fresnel. You can already see that the spot where the projection lens mounts is huge, it should be much smaller...

I would only use the bulb and reflector, but not the old fresnel.
T@kezo
Thanks didnt know that but it shouldnt be a problem cause the old fresnel can be took out easily.

T@kezo,
Nice job on taking what you had and adapting/morphing it into a projector. I'm still in the ohmy.gif phase and awaiting more pictures but the lumens you have blasting outta the front of that thing appears to be plenty even in dimly lit areas...positioned pretty close to screen but still very bright.
T@kezo
Thanks I cant wait finish the whole thing. The box is removable and the lamp is going to be mounted in a cupboard so i can make it disappear. This is just a short test. The mounting of the fresnels isnt ready and theres still too much scattered light of course. I want to get it finally ready on this weekend. Original screen is about 120" away from lens and screen size should be 126".

huh.gif shouldnt it get brighter the closer it stands to screen?
T@kezo
This is my familys house and its going to take place in my flat.
I had to give back the adapter of my tft cause i destroyed it doing some tests with wiring. It should be here in a few days and the Cmv is already stripped and ready to go.

very quiet, big and ugly (but beautiful to me of course tongue.gif ). At the bottom is already a part of the cupboard.

I still gotta iron the screen again. Its cotton painted with "traffic white" and in german this paint is called "Acryllack, Verkehrsweiss" (RA 9016). Screensize is 130". Adjustement isnt ready too.

im sorry writing not more but sometimes its difficult to me to understand and translate.
I appreciate the compliments but am open to criticism as well.
Kjudkis, Eyebaths and Mooses results kept me motivated the last days.

I can't help wondering if you took your inspiration for your projector from Lustra's avatar.

Thanks a lot. Hope mine is as precisely as yours. Actually i builded it like that because i can take the box off when its unused and hide it in the same cupboard. Bulb and reflector are adjustably in the light.

Today i bought the right universal adapter (didnt want to wait) and that damn thing still doesnt work. Tomorrow i gonna check if its possible to solve these problems (stripping was easy, without any trouble and i was veeery careful) or i´d have to buy the 3rd tft  (First was fraud at ebay - money isnt here yet and that one seems to be destructed  ).
Getting crazy...
T@kezo

Thanks for your comments.
Unfortunately there was just after a first very impressing result another problem with the ffc (probably loose connection) and my screen turned white again wacko.gif .. It´s under repair and cant take long anymore.

Lcd was about 320Dollar and now 340.
T@kezo
It works! biggrin.gif
There were problems with my camera and these are just test pics (more tomorrow), but my results are even better than I thought. Picture is a little too big and isnt adjusted properly yet.

Awesome results Takezo. I am very impressed. I'm having some trouble with my LCD. I have a Sony HS53, I was testing it when I fried the circuit board that conrols the LCD display. I'm waiting for some funds to buy this replacement part. Any way keep up the good work. I'ts looking great.

Looking good! Nice work; I'm sure you'll do some fine tunning and build a screen for it - I take it you're projecting on thewall, aren't you?
Keep up the good work.
T@kezo
Thanks,
no its a screen but still has to get spanned properly. Its really very sharp but this camera doesnt show it. Ill scan real photos after adjusted everything.
joecnc2006

POUNGIE

As you can see pics are still too dark. They are still not sharp enough too.
T@kezo
My best results so far..some known Lotr pics.

I can't say this enough. I am very happy with the way the Lumenlab projector turned out. Thanks for helping me.
Thats it for now guys
if you have questions feel free to ask.

big picture... looks nice.

Nice..
T@kezo
The projected images are amazing. Thanks for the compliments. smile.gif
Ill take some new pictures when my cupboard is done and all has its place (hope that I can get it a little more sharp because the images are slighty fuzzed on bottom). Keystoning is more than 15° at the moment so it should be better when the last few steps are done.
