I got this card off of newegg for around 70 bucks. It has a lot of features, descent amount of power, and so far the software works fairly well.

It comes with a breakout box that allows svideo, and composite inputs, and on the other side has svideo, and component outputs. It also has an anolog TV tuner, remote control, and DVI output.

Software includes:
DVD player
TV tuner with TIVO like software so you can record, and pause live tv.
Video editing software. Haven't used this yet so I can't vouch for it.

Remote so far is working great. The HTPC that has the remote receiver is inside the cabinet, but I'm still getting plenty of range from it. The DVD player is functional, but I think I'm going to replace it with something else and FFDshow. The component output works great for my 27" sony. I thought the svideo input looked a little blurry at first, but I've come to realize that's simply the low resolution of the source.

So far I've been fairly impressed with this card. I've been trying to find an AIW for under a 100 bucks for a while, but the only thing I could find was the 7000 AIW. This one has a lot more rendering power, and all of the same features!

It was $76 to be exact.

Here is the link if anyone is interested.

I have a digital tuner that was picking up over the air digital from the networks. I sent the signal out via the svideo to the video card. When I displayed it on my Sony 27 inch the video looked ok. I haven't tried it on my projector though. However I also tried the svideo out of my other computers video card, and it looked real fuzzy.

I think for 480i signals it will work ok, but for any type of high def signal it's not quite satisfactory. Fortunately I'm using the HTPC to drive both my 27" and my projector. So I'll use the TV for watching TV, and the projector for movies. I'm going to play around with it more to see what I can do with it.

Too bad Newegg ran out. They're my favorite online retailer. I'm glad I got one why I still had a chance.
