Thanks, Smalls. I'm supposed to look for a decent computer for my cousin for general use... maybe some Photoshop. So that's why I asked.

Vroom,
If you shopped around, you could certainly add all of those for $150. I put my whole amd 2800+ with the same mobo and dual layer dvd burner together for $240. I only paid $99 for my combo, but this processor is a little faster, and the memory is more than my initial package came with. I did not have to by a hard drive, but you can find a very useable HD for fairly cheap.

I'll keep that in mind. He may end up just getting the Dell 3000 when it's at $300. At this point, anything would be a big upgrade.

beware, lots of people have had problems getting tigerdirect rebates. takes a very long time, if you get it at all.

You may want to read the reviews on tigerdirect for that mobo, they're not very good.

I have used that motherboard for a while without any problems. I also recieved all of my rebates without any difficulty.
