Well, I was using a Da-Lite pulldown screen at my house, but can't put any holes in the walls (concrete) or ceiling. I've watched a couple of movies just on the wall and blinds and it was pretty good at night, but during the day it suffers big time.

In the daytime the light shines around the blinds, which will be covered up by any screen I put there hopefully. At this point I figure I'll get a big sheet of blackout cloth and frame it and set it up on the register and secure it at the top somehow. What I'm wondering is if I should paint the cloth first or consider some other material for the screen.

Here are some daytime pics. Yes, Halo 2 is on the wall, and the camera settings are on full automatic except for no flash. The walls and blinds are an off white.

EDIT: Screen size should be 105" diagonal. Any ideas for material or paint to make this thing watchable during the day with the window covered?

Vroom, check out my Project Gallery and you will see pictures of my screen. I just built a frame out of 1x2s and streched blackout cloth over it. Then I cut two 1x2s to the height of my room and wedged them in with shims. Then the screen is hinged on the two 1x2s so it can tilt. Hope that gives you some ideas.

You could try using 'Extreme' Velcro.

Here's a few night pics. Like I said, it looks pretty darn good at night considering it's projected onto window blinds and cream colored walls.

I figure once I get the window completely covered with a screen it should be comparable to these night shots.
