Ok I am back now after sitting back and doing more research I figured what the hay. So here I go I have recieved all of my items for free and mutilated an OHP projector along with a mintek DVD this design this will be choppy but only to pave way for the final design.

I will try to keep every thing I can in posting as this is a plog I hope every one enjoys this as much as I.

To begin I show all the design I have in mind I have layed out all my items and tested this for 2 days to get the measurements right.

in the event of dissasembling my OHP I figured why not use the lenses and make my own projection lens.

I completed this lens with a cup and the two lenses fron the OHP by splitting the case and removing the mirror and the lenses......P.S. the mirror used in an OHP is a front surface however I do not think it is big enough to be used to reflect the whole image so i held on to it for future projects.

This was the TFT victim i managed to extend the cable so I could salvage the DVD player only because it has preouts and input built in as well as dvd capabilities

I made a frame for the fresnels and the TFT out of picture frames.

keep in mind that this is a temp house for this set up i have alluminum that i will be using when the prototype is complete.

You might want to confirm if the lens you salvaged from the OHP is a triplet (good) or a doublet (bad).

A triplet has 3 elements and a doublet has 2, doublets aren't as sharp.
You should be able to research the OHP you salvaged and find that information out.

It is a doublet there were only 2 lenses when I took it apart I put them back together using the upper lip of a cup and some black tape....Sad to say I know you are right the edges and focus of the end result is not any where near as sharp and rich as a triplet setup. When I get enough money I plan on buying a nice lens set.

In the process I find it very hard to take pictures of the projected image eaven with a 3.0 megapixal cammera it is a hard task I will post more.
