Much time has passed, and much work has been done. The projector now has a proper cover, made from wood covered in "leatherette", with right angled metal going around the edges. It also has a back panel with the switches, power input and fan vent (also painted black). A ceiling mount system has been invented by my dad, who has developed a mechanism consisting of a metal part attached to my projector, that hangs on a metal rail attached to our ceiling. Thus the projector can slide back and forth. Thus primative zoom.

Its still far from finished, with big hotspotting problems

Here are some shots.

A desktop with the lights off:

The same thing with 2 striplights and a couple of 100w lights on.

The projector! The messy bit on top is the air filter and a fan, which is normally covered by a cover but was jammed open with a screwdriver in an attempt to get more airflow:

I should point out that my camera's white balance is making the blues look too strong and the reds too weak. The picture is warmer in real life.

Very good point. I have the pictures somewhere, I will try and dig them out for you. Basically instead of the traditional box design, I have 4 threaded rods with wooden "carriers" held on with nuts and washers, so absoltely everything is adjustable. So there is a carrier per component. The idea was to reduce weight, but it didnt work that well since the carriers are made of thick plywood thus very heavy.

Actually you might just want to check out my PLOG, I'm pretty sure all the pics are on there, and you seem to be a customer.

I've noticed the name of this bit of the forum has changed to "Project Gallery for Completed Projectors". No!! These things are Never completed!!!
