I got my LG 1530s stripped and ran into this:

Are those three FCC things at the top of the image there for grounding or what? They rest on the side of the metal frame and I'm not sure what to do with them. Can I just mount my LCD in the box without the metal frame and just cut a portion of the metal frame for those three FCCs to rest on? Do I need to do anything about them?

Not sure exactly what they do, but I've got the same monitor. I just left the LCD panel in the metal frame. Then I took that black plastic frame from the backlight and put it back on top of the LCD panel so it won't move around. Then I glued the black frame to the metal frame so it doesn't just fall off.

I was considering doing exactly what you said but I would like to have just the LCD panel itself mounted without that big bulky frame. I was hoping someone could tell me if those FCCs are grounding the LCD or not...if not then I was planning on not using the metal frame.

Gummy...you have some pics of your LCD mounted? Would help alot.

Also keep in mind that I haven't actually tested my setup completely, since I didn't get my bulb to strike initially, and am in the process of re-wiring everything. I did shine a flashlight behind the LCD when I turned it on though, and it came on just fine.

Hi, I just wanted to check with you if you finally were able to set it up working. Any trouble with the cable extensions? What fresnels did you use?
Thanks in advance
