G'day people
As some of you might have noticed we got a bit of a problem sourcing lighting systems here in Australia.
I'm planning on building a small 7 or 8" projector, and am going to use either the
OSRAM HQI-TS 250W/D or the Sylvania HQI-DE250/DX
But there's not a lot of light shops or electrical stores in my town so getting any help here isn't easy.
Basically my question is: what do i need to power either of these globes??

thanks in advance
Fritz

You need 250W HQI Metal Halide ballasts. These will either be large magnetic ballasts with seperate ignitor and capacitor (more common and far cheaper) or slightly smaller, lighter electronic ballasts which have everything in one box (rarer and expensive).
