Click to view attachmentHere is my first picture of my LL projector, still need to tweak a little.Brightness is very good and focus is good but need to mess with the triplet a little and center the fresnels better and it will be perfect.I am using the 15 inch lcd from walmart and the s400dd with the e-ballast from ll,the dvd program is Theatertek.I am using my old AMD 900 and a geforce 4200 graphics card.I have yet to try on my p4 3gig with a 6800,which i think will look even better. This pic is with no ffdshow or any other enhancements. With ffdshow I know i can get way better quality, just depends on if my wife lets me take any more time on this project! biggrin.gif

Very nice results jagg. Can only get better from here.

So do you find that your intitial reservations about the quality of the LL projector were unfounded? Your brightness thread was a shocker for us all. How do you find the LL projector campares with your overhead setup in terms of brightness, clarity, and contrast?

Click to view attachmentHere is another from Monsters Inc.Yes Sonic I was just leary of taking the time to build a LL box, spending more money and have it no better than my overhead. The brightness is equal or better than my overhead but the problem I had tweaking the LL is i had to crank my rgb to 100 which i did not think i would have to with using the s400dd and the Ikea napkin holder, but my lexan heat shield is dirty and so are my fresnels so when i clean them all up and tweak some more i think ill have as good a picture as anyone.

Jagg: Holly batman! Those are some TASTY images!!! LARGER please...
We might have a contender, here, for the best picture category smile.gif. Also, please post some live action (non-animated) screenies. Fifth Element seems to be a must, here laugh.gif cool.gif

Also, no PLOG? Please post some details on how you achieved this level of quality. Components, build details, top-secret government funded technologies, etc.
