Hey all just wondering if I can use an old computer power cord with the female end cut off as the main 120v in to my projector? I just didnt want to spend 10 to 15 bucks on an extension cord with all these power cords laying around the house. Thanks all.

Is the female end already cut off? Aren't you using the Lumenlab wiring kit? If so the female end will just plug into it.

Actually the Lumenlab kit comes with a cord doesn't it? Perhaps you decided against it?

No the female end isn't cut off yet, I doo have the LL wiring kit but from what was said in here its really for use with a fan thermostat and I'm not using one. Imjust going to be controling the fans on there own switch. If I do use a comp power cord, do I just connect the ground from the cord to the one on the ballast? Thanks all.

Well you can still use the kit but have a second switch for the lamp. You won't even have to modify the Lumenlab switch either.

Any advice on how to do this, I have the wiring diagram justabout to memory but it has the thermostat, I'm not sure exactly sure how to change it.
