Ok, well I've done a lot of research on Home Theaters through AVSforum, and they all recommended the AVIA guide to home theater. I've since purchased the DVD and it is AMAZING!!!! The amount of details and concern they take in setting up your theater will make you feel like a pro afterwards. I would recommend this to just about anyone. One device that they use for setting up the sound systems is a Radioshack Analog Sound Meter. I looked into purchasing one of these and at $40 and only really needing it for a day or so I'm trying to avoid this. I was curious if anyone within the community had one I could barrow for a small cost. If no would anyone else be interested in renting it from me after I purchased. Kinda pass it along in the community for a small fee. I know to most $40 isn't much but right now I'm counting pennies and trying to complete the home theater ASAP.

Thanks

Got a computer or better microphone?
Try this awesome free program: Room EQ Wizard (free measurement and parametric EQ setup software)

Wow thanks this is very detailed so it will take some time understanding. Either way I can spend $20 and get a decent mic, and atleast that is something I'll use again.

Thanks

Just curious have you used this software in the past to calibrate?

No not yet. I'm getting ready to move and will use it then. My receiver has a built in calibration suite and came with a mic so that's automatic. I have a ULTRACURVE PRO DEQ2496 and a ECM8000 microphone that I use to tune my SVS PB12-Plus/2 and am hoping that he implements the EQ that I have into the program so that too will be automatic, when that happens I will be in BASS heaven....heh..heh. biggrin.gif
